The aim of our ECOPORTUNITY project is to achieve a platform (software tool) that allows the analysis of the economic and social environment through multiple sources of information (internet and social networks, among them) for the detection of opportunities that allow governments and other economic agents to generate favorable environments for the exploitation of these opportunities. To this end, two complementary partners in their knowledge for the execution of the project joined, the University of Valencia with its group of experts in the economic area and predictions of economic cycles and Autoritas Consulting with the experience in the new techniques of social communication and a group of analysts and software developers for the realization of the tool or platform. The use of this semi-intelligent tool will provide the information and knowledge that facilitates the anticipation, identification and support in decision-making based on competitive perspectives and the major challenges that national and regional economies will face, as well as the generation of alternative prospective scenarios and the construction of strategies to improve competitiveness by public and private agents.
